Recipes for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet: The Grain-Free, Lactose-Free, Sugar-Free Solution to IBD, Celiac Disease, Autism, Cystic Fibrosis, and Other Health Conditions (Healthy Living Cookbooks) Customer Review: A fantastic achievement
Fortunately, I do not have medical problems that require the specific carbohydrate diet, but friends and family members do. Instead of struggling over what to serve I feel like I can chose anything from this book and have it be a success. The recipes are simple, elegant, and delicious. I love the ease of this book and recommend it to anyone.
Customer Review: Wonderful book for food fanatics!
As a food fanatic always looking for new ideas, I very much enjoyed the idea of healthy eating that this book espouses. I do not have any dietary problems, but ran across this book while researching how to eat well for friends with sensitive tummies. This book is perfect, providing an idea of a healthy diet for many types of food sensitivities. The recipes are easy, no-frills and full of great ideas for the kind of balanced, protein and veggie-rich healthy eating prescribed by food enthusiasts such as Michael Pollan. Moreover, with all the research coming out about wheat sensitivities and gluten allergies, this book seems timely, relevant, and accessible to veteran and new cooks of all types. I especially enjoyed the vibrant photos, wonderful anecdotes about Raman’s family, and easy-to-deliver recipes. The full range of courses were also helpful. I loved the appetizers and dessert sections in particular. Innovative ideas of uses of almond flour also helped immensely. I made and enjoyed most the recipes in this book, and would definitely subscribe to this diet as a healthy, wheat/gluten-free alternative to traditional carb-rich American fare. I would love to see more books like this on the market!

Fundamentals of Financial Management (with Thomson ONE – Business School Edition)

Fundamentals of Financial Management (with Thomson ONE – Business School Edition) “Brigham/Houston: A Classic, redefined…because a classic never goes out of style.” The market leader, Brigham/Houston, continues to grow in reputation and amount of users as the most effective approach for teaching the first undergraduate corporate finance course. The seamless, integrated ancillary package, still painstakingly prepared by the authors, is a hallmark of the Brigham/Houston package which reduces course preparation time for instructors and makes the subject more accessible for learners. New for this edition is the addition of iLrn Finance, an online student assessment and tutorial resource to help improve student performance. Additionally, access to Thomson ONE – Business School Edition, an online financial database that students can use to complete projects or select end of chapter exercises, is included with each new text.
Customer Review: So-So
Some things were explained in the book fairly well, however it is too wordy. Once again these textbooks do a bang-up job of taking your money and confusing the hell out of you. This is why people are afraid to take classes like Corporate Finance or even pursue a degree in related fields.

Yes We Can: A Biography of Barack Obama

Yes We Can: A Biography of Barack Obama

In third grade, Barack Obama wrote an essay titled, “I Want to Become President”—and he is, to this day, determined to show the world that, yes, he can.

Born in the U.S.A., the son of an African father and an American mother, a boy who spent his childhood in Indonesia and Hawaii, Barack Obama is truly a citizen of the world. His campaign for the presidency is powered by a fierce optimism, an exuberant sense of purpose and determination, and, above all, a belief that change can happen.
